- When did you come to LFKL?
The first time I came to Malaysia was in 2008, I was 7 years old. I stayed 4 years then, from CE1 to CM2 before leaving for Congo. But I came back in 2015, when I was in 3e and have been there up to now, in Terminale ES. I have thus spent 8 years at this school!
- Generally speaking, what do you think about LFKL (school classes, teachers, activities/projects, environment)?
I think LFKL is a very good school in terms of the quality of the classes; it also has the reputation of having very good students. The teachers do their best for the school environment to be the most pleasant for all. The standard teacher/student relationship is often replaced by one closer to that between classmates. Closeness between the students and a mindset of mutual help -due to small numbers per class- greatly contribute to the LFKL’s good environment and atmosphere.
- What do you like the most about LFKL?
What I like the most about LFKL is the somewhat sense of family between the staff, teachers and students you meet every day.
- If you had to describe LFKL in just a few words?
A pleasant school where we are given a boost rather than being dragged down.
- What have you learnt? What challenges did you face?
Beyond school programmes, I learnt that school had as many positive as negative aspects and that it was up to the teachers to make it more fun than it seems. The various challenges I have encountered during my studies were due, among other things, to the school’s lack of organisation and funds but they have been dealt with so that they won’t occur again.
- What are your favourite subjects and why?
My favourite subjects are mathematics, economics and history-geography; I’m also very interested in philosophy and just love sports. These choices reflect my interests, most of which can be classified within these various subjects.
- Do you participate in any ECA? If so, which one(s)? What do you like about it/them?
I’ve only been participating in the football ECA since the beginning of my studies. What I like about this activity is the fact I can relax in a joyful atmosphere at the end of the week (it’s on Friday afternoons) while having fun with my friends on the pitch provided.
- What is your best memory of LFKL?
I think my best memory of LFKL is the field trip we made in Seconde. We had spent 3 days into the Taman Negara jungle doing some activities which left strong memories among some teachers and many students.
