One of the skills featured in the Technology curriculum is described as “understanding how an IT network functions”
This year in LFKL, this skill was tackled in an unusual manner: 10th graders A and B benefitted from the knowledge of Mr Perrin, our IT specialist, who agreed to share his mastery of the subject in agreement with the technology teacher Mr Jourdannaud.
Our pupils were allowed to enter the school’s computing room to see how the network is configured with its servers and routers. They also had a glimpse of the complexity of the tasks performed by the IT department in charge of maintenance and of securing our local network when the IT staff agreed to answer some of their questions.
Thanks to them all for this collaboration in the benefit of the pupils.
Mr Jourdannaud
