ABOUT THE LFKL

Opened in 1962, the Lycée Français de Kuala Lumpur (LFKL) is a non-profit institution managed by a board of directors composed of parents of students.

LFKL currently welcomes 680 students from over 44 different nationalities, ranging from preschool to high school. The students benefit from a French education and a high-quality curriculum, which includes a European section, as well as cultural, sports, artistic, technical, scientific, and literary disciplines.

The institution provides a multicultural education delivered by teachers certified by the French Ministry of Education, along with English-speaking native teachers who hold relevant qualifications.

Recognized for its multilingualism, LFKL offers English classes from the very beginning, integrating educational activities that take into account each student’s linguistic proficiency.

In secondary school, in addition to English, students have the opportunity to learn four languages (German, Spanish, Chinese, and Malay) and receive internationally recognized language certifications annually (Cambridge, DELF, DELE, IELTS, HSK).

LFKL is part of the network of French schools overseen by AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad). This educational system allows students in the institution to pursue their studies through 139 other countries in more than 500 establishments.
